YOUTH THEATRE AUDITIONS

Annie Audition Information

 Saturday September 18th 1-4pm
 Monday September 20th 4-7pm
 Callbacks: Wednesday September 22nd 4-7pm
Audition Information:
Ages: 7-19 years old.
Roles: All roles are open except for the role of Miss Hannigan.
 
Auditions:

Please prepare a short, musical theatre song (16-32 bars). No pop songs, no recorded music. Bring sheet music in the proper key. An accompanist will be provided. Please bring all conflicts with you to the audition, a rehearsal schedule will be available. There will be a movement combination taught at auditions, please dress appropriately and bring the proper shoes (jazz shoes or sneakers are fine)
Call backs will be by invitation only.

Saturday December 4 10:00am and 2:00pm
Saturday December 11 10:00am and 2:00pm
Saturday December 18 10:00am and 2:00pm
 

We are also seeking a dog for the role of Sandy. Must be very well trained and comfortable around children.
Owner must be at all performances and neccessary rehearsals.



MAIN STAGE AUDITIONS

"A NIGHT WITH OUR STARS" FALL MUSIC REVUE

Show Runs:
Fridays, Saturdays at 8:00 pm and Sundays at 3:00 pm from October 15th - October 31st.
Rehearsals will be at the Cassidy Theatre approximately 2-3 times per week starting September 13th.

"A Night With Our Stars" will be a fun, intimate cabaret-style musical celebration of favorite musical theatre songs and backstage memories from shows and performers who have graced the Cassidy Theatre Stage over the last three decades! Come celebrate some of the hilarious and touching history of the Cassidy with some of its most talented performer alumni and future Cassidy Stars! There may even be a Halloween surprise or two!

Looking for a small but powerful cast of 8-10 strong singers - adult men and women of all types, 18 years of age and over. All are welcome to audition - whether you have appeared in a Cassidy Show or just would like to someday! This will be a fun opportunity to perform songs you've sung dozens of times or ones you've always wanted to! No appointment necessary. Singing audition only. Please come prepared to sing any style of musical theater song. Please bring sheet music in the correct key. Accompanist will be provided. Non-Equity auditions only.

MAME Audition Information

If you cannot make the audition dates or times and would still like to be seen for the production the director is willing to meet at another time.

AUDITION PREPARATION
Please prepare two short, contrasting musical theatre selections, bring sheet music in the correct key, 32 bars is sufficient; an accompanist will be provided. Headshots and resumes will be accepted at the audition.

CASTING REQUIREMENTS
Non - Equity. There are no Equity Contracts available. All roles are open. Cassidy is committed to non-traditional casting. Actors will be cast solely on the basis of talent, except in cases where age, race or physical ability are essential to a role. Ages listed in breakdowns are "character ages" not actor ages.

Auntie Mame (Mezzo) flamorous, madcap and extremely liberal
Agnes Gooch (Soprano) Patrick's nanny
Patrick Dennis (Boy Soprano, Age 10) Mame's nephew
Patrick Dennis (Baritone, 19 - 29) Mame's nephew as a grown-up
Vera Charles (Alto) Mame's "bosom buddy"
Beauregard Burnside (Baritone) a wealthy Southern gentleman
Dwight Babcock: Mame's arch nemesis and stuffy banker and trustee of Patrick Dennis.
Ito (Baritone) Mame's Asian Houseboy
Seeking Ensemble that will double and triple as Mame's Friends.
